American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Wound Care position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of two completed travel assignments.

• Acute care hospital setting in a dedicated Wound Care unit
• Level 3 Trauma Center with 171 staffed beds
• Common diagnoses and procedures include altered mental status, CHF, stroke, orthopedic and surgical patients, DKA, and infections
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Charting is performed in Epic; experience in Epic is required
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Wound Care Certification preferred
• Cardiac competency required (self-rating of 3 or above); basic dysrhythmia training preferred (self-rating of 3 or above)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required for candidates with prior travel experience; minimum 3 years of experience required for candidates without travel experience
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably used in the state of Oklahoma and within the past year
• No background hits allowed

• Provide wound and ostomy care to a diverse acute care patient population
• Scrub color varies by unit
• Minimum of two successfully completed travel assignments required with no performance or attendance issues — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO is capped at 5 days for the 13-week assignment; no additional RTO requests will be approved after the time of consideration or while on contract
• RTO is not approved the day before, the day of, or the day after a holiday
• No blocked or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
• The facility enforces a zero-fault attendance policy — any missed scheduled shift, regardless of reason, is counted as unexcused; 2 missed shifts result in a warning and 3 or more may result in cancellation
• All pre-employment modules must be completed before the start date
• A small amount of overtime each week is probable depending on patient load
