Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CST) for a CVOR position requiring at least 5 years of experience and active NBSTSA or NCCT certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday
• On-call required from 3:00 PM to 6:00 AM, shared among 3 CSTs with one weekend of call per month
• On-call coverage includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and off-shifts
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension to 26 weeks

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• Minimum 5 years of CST experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Must be able to tolerate physically and mentally demanding work

Additional Information

• Performs scrub functions including pulling necessary supplies and instrumentation and setting up the sterile field
• Assists in the setup of the CVOR room in coordination with the full CVOR team
• Ensures sterile procedures are followed, required equipment is available, and patient safety is maintained at all times
• Two professional references required for consideration
