American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position at an acute care hospital in Columbia, SC, requiring at least 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience and active SC or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital (304 staffed beds) in a Cath Lab unit
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call is required: one full weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Hospital-issued scrubs are provided for the Cath Lab

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license before starting
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and EP experience required
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to start
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard placement; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Orientation modules are completed pre-start
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
• Parking is available at no cost via facility-distributed parking passes; note that garage clearance accommodates average-sized SUVs and trucks only
