American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with at least 1 year of experience and required Epic proficiency for a 6-week long-term care assignment requiring prior travel experience.

Details

• Long-term care unit within a rehabilitation and nursing facility
• 12-hour night shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Floating to other areas of the facility is required
• Epic EMR used; recent experience required
• 6-week assignment

Requirements

• Current LPN license required; Vermont license not required at time of submission — candidates may be considered without it; NY candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY license (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Dementia capable care certification preferred
• Must have reliable personal transportation — public transportation is not accessible in this area
• Two references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required for consideration: at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must not be allergic to cats (a cat is present on the unit)
• Background check (7-year, nationwide, county court searches, FACIS 3, and sex offender registry) within 18 months of start date required; FACIS 3 and VCIC checks required within 30 days of start

Additional Information

• Candidates must be available to work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day
• Block schedules are not available for any reason
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• A completed facility questionnaire must be reviewed with candidates prior to submission
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April

• This facility does not accept local candidates within 50 miles; candidates between 51–100 miles are eligible at a different pay tier than those beyond 100 miles (distance measured by straight line, not driving distance)
