American Traveler is hiring an LPN for an outpatient endocrinology clinic in Rapid City, SD, requiring ambulatory clinic experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient endocrinology clinic setting
• Patient population includes Type 1 and Type 2 diabetic patients as well as thyroid patients
• Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; no weekends, no call, no holiday coverage required
• Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Uses Epic Ambulatory, including InBasket management
• May occasionally float within the clinic
• Supported by a multidisciplinary team including MAs, CAs, RNs, MDs, APPs, an on-site lab/phlebotomy department, and radiology

Requirements

• Current LPN license required (South Dakota license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic Ambulatory experience required
• Endocrinology clinic experience is highly preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient triage, patient education, Epic Ambulatory InBasket management, downloading insulin pumps and glucometers (training provided), and rooming patients as backup
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have previous ambulatory clinic experience
• Former permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning to the facility as a traveler
• Scrub color for LPN: Navy Blue

• Orientation length is dependent on specialty
• Time off requests are subject to supervisor approval
