American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant position requiring proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills and significant cardiovascular OR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Day shift schedule, available as either 8-hour (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) or 10-hour (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) shifts, 40 hours per week
• Call requirement of 12–18 days per month
• Weekend requirement of 2–3 weekends per month
• Floating required to general department FA coverage, including orthopedic, vascular, gynecologic, thoracic, and general surgeries when not assigned to cardiac cases

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Active RN license required; STFA or RNFA credentials accepted
• Proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills required
• CVOR experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Perform surgical first assistant duties across cardiovascular and general surgical cases
• Must demonstrate proficiency ratings of 3 or higher in vein harvesting and cardiac areas
• Candidates willing and able to float across multiple surgical specialties are ideal for this role
