American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Combination unit in Elko, NV, with night shift hours and at least 1 year of experience required.

Details

• Works in a 23-bed Acute Care Services unit encompassing Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics
• Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatric)
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other departments possible based on patient census and staffing needs
• Equipment used includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system
• EMR: MEDHOST
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required
• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• BLS required
• ACLS required (up to 60 days after start date to obtain)
• PALS required (up to 90 days after start date to obtain)
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Med/Surg and telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Fit testing is provided on-site for travelers
• Weekly orientations are available
• No mandatory scrub color — any color scrubs are acceptable
• COVID vaccination card required
