American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Acute Med/Surg Telemetry position in San Antonio, TX, requiring at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Acute Med/Surg unit with a mixed patient population including rehab, surgical, and respiratory patients
• Epic used for charting; experience preferred but not required
• Trach/vent and high-flow oxygen experience recommended but not required
• Rehab experience recommended but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or via compact licensure required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Delegates appropriately to other care providers as part of clinical management
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Temp-to-perm conversion possible
• SSN required for consideration
