American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Travel Telemetry/Acute Med-Surg position in San Antonio, TX, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Acute Med-Surg unit serving a mixed patient population including rehab, surgical, and respiratory patients across multiple floors
• Epic EMR used for charting; experience preferred but not required
• Trach/vent and high-flow oxygen experience recommended but not required
• Rehab experience recommended but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• BSN preferred
• A US Social Security Number is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Temp-to-perm conversion is possible
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
