American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with oncology experience at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Short-term acute care setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with oncology patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00), with 48-hour or 36-hour weekly options available
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Med/Surg oncology experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• ADN or higher required (BSN not required for this position)
• Driver's License required for consideration
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Any certifications expiring during the assignment should have a documented renewal plan
