American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Neuro position requiring Neuro PCU experience and Epic proficiency, with day shifts and rotating weekends.

Details

• 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care (PCU) unit with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides remote monitoring surveillance for unit patients
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required
• Floating required across all health system facilities as needed
• Scheduling is managed by staff through Optilink in 6-week scheduling periods
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Experience with CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen required
• Epic EMR experience mandatory
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
