American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Diabetes Medical Care Unit (DMCU) position at a Level 2 Trauma hospital, requiring at least 2 years of M/S telemetry experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Position is in the Diabetes Medical Care Unit (DMCU) of a 772-bed hospital designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
• Level 2 Trauma Center
• Unit has 30–35 beds serving a diabetic medical-surgical patient population
• RNs are required to have experience with insulin drips
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–6
• 12-hour day shifts
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of M/S telemetry experience required
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
• Insulin drip experience required
• 2 professional references dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Skills checklist dated within the last 12 months required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held every Monday
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; 4 days or fewer will be considered
• Local candidates are accepted, with the exception of those with a permanent address in Tallahassee
• Work history gaps of more than 30 days must be explained
