Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Home Health position in Winchester, VA, requiring 2+ years of home health experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid VA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Home health setting serving adult patients ages 19 and over
• Caseload of 5–7 patients per day
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8s)
• Every 5th weekend required
• On-call required 1–2 nights per week as needed
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only); no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Valid Driver's License required
• Minimum 2 years of home health (home care) experience required
• Proficiency with wound vac, IV therapy, and ostomy care required
• Experience with chronic disease education including CHF, COPD, and Diabetes required
• Epic EMR experience required
• US SSN required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides in-home nursing care to adult patients with a variety of chronic and complex conditions
• Navy blue and white scrubs required per Valley Health dress code policy
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Candidates must not have any gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
