Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) position at a 110-bed facility, working 12-hour night shifts with a geriatric and post-acute patient population.

Details

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting within a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Long-Term Care (LTC) unit
• Geriatric and post-acute med/surg patient population; TCU patients transition to home, hospice, or LTC following their stay
• LTC patient ratios: 1:20 days, 1:38 nights; TCU patient ratios: 1:12 days, 1:15 nights
• CNA support ratios: 1:10 days and 1:18 nights
• Additional unit support includes a receptionist/HUC on weekdays, a Resident Care Manager as charge nurse on weekdays, a medication aide on the 1500–2300 shift, phlebotomy and IV/VAT team available from the hospital, and a hospitalist on staff
• EMR systems: Meditech and Caretracker
• Pyxis medication dispensing and IV pumps in use
• 12-hour night shifts; shift times are 1830–0700
• Weekend rotation as needed to balance the schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between TCU and LTC units

Requirements

• Active Montana (MT) or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• SNF or LTC experience required
• Proficiency in medication pass, wound care, IV skills, catheter care, and suctioning required
• Must be comfortable taking on a charge nurse role when needed
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth (month and day) required for consideration

• Orientation consists of 1 to 2 shifts
