Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong ortho and general surgery experience for an acute care OR position requiring DaVinci Robot experience and call availability.

Details

• Acute care hospital OR with 8 surgical suites averaging 15 cases per day
• Common case types include general, orthopedics (total joints - heavy volume), podiatry, urology, gynecology, vascular, spine, and plastics
• 1:1 scrub-to-surgeon ratio
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 0645–1515, every other weekend (EOW)
• Weekday call required from 11p–7a; weekend call also required with 30-minute response time
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Orientation averages 2 shifts
• No floating required; candidates with GI experience may have the option to float to the GI lab

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience required
• Ortho and general surgery experience required
• DaVinci Robot experience required
• BLS certification required
• CST certification via NBSTSA required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Flexibility with scheduling required, including call and holiday coverage
• Travel experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• License required if applicable
