American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care (Neuro Stepdown) position on a 7A Neurology unit, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency for night shift coverage.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a 7A Neurology Progressive Care (Neuro Stepdown) unit
• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment with complex and challenging cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Block scheduling is not approved; travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR required; experience must be noted on profile

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — NIHSS certification must be included for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (neuro stepdown) required
• Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered
• Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates whose experience is limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• Candidates will manage neurological patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity progressive care setting
• Manager will conduct interviews and extend offers
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
