American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in an Inpatient Orthopedic Unit in Santa Fe, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active NM or Compact RN license.

• Inpatient Orthopedic Unit (IP Ortho) within a regional medical center
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM state RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Must provide a US Social Security Number — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• Must be able to perform prolonged standing and walking, heavy patient repositioning and transfers, and considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Visual and hearing acuity within normal or correctable limits; manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required

Additional Information

• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served, ensuring quality care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner
• Works under the direction of a Patient Care Director or Manager within the Patient Care Services department
• Work environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates — local candidates are not accepted on this position unless explicitly noted
• 2 references are required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications must be current and active — expired certifications will result in rejection
