Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a TN or compact RN license, at least 2 years of ER experience, and prior Level I Trauma experience.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend work required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may be required, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER/ED nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• ADN degree required (BSN not required for this position)
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted; at least one completed prior travel assignment is required
• Candidates who are former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be forwarded for approval
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
