American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with chemotherapy administration experience and a day shift schedule.

Details

• Oncology unit in a 562-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:15–18:45)
• Average daily census of 24 patients across 24 beds
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Cerner
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand or actively in the application process
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Required chemotherapy skills: administration (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, cytotoxic spill management/disposal, and recognition and communication of abnormal lab values
• Required IV/infusion skills: port access and care, central line care and blood draw, PICC line care, blood/blood product administration, antifungals, antivirals, coagulation factors, and starting IVs

• RTO is ideally limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
