Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Infusion RN for a 13-week travel contract at a cancer center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and a WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Infusion unit position within a cancer center setting
• Daily caseload of approximately 70 patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Specialized skills utilized include CBCT/kV/mV imaging, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, Prophylactic Treatments, and Radiation Safety
• Outpatient and inpatient oncology experience is preferred
• Infusion center experience is preferred
• Charting is performed using Cerner EMR
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, 0800–1630
• No on-call or floating requirements

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required; pending state license will be considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Clean nursing license required; no prior suspensions (probations considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Two manager or charge nurse references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required unless a documented medical allergy is on file with an allergist or physician of record

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must permanently reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing 75–99 miles away may be submitted for facility approval
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 3 years from their last date of permanent employment before being considered as a traveler
• Orientation is scheduled every other Thursday for RNs
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• No RTO restrictions
