American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Neuro position at an academic medical center, requiring Epic proficiency and ACLS/NIH certifications for a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• 12-bed Neuro Stepdown unit operating at an intermediate critical care level
• Patient population includes neuro ICU step-downs, neuro trauma, subarachnoid/intraventricular/intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT oncology patients post-tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients, and a wide range of neurological conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide intermediate-level critical care and neuroscience nursing to a complex neurological patient population
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
