American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR (Cardiovascular OR) position requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent CVOR circulator experience in a high-volume hospital setting and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based CVOR service line comprising 4–6 ORs, including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, Impella/IABP placement, adult ECMO, and TAVR in the endovascular OR
• Thoracic procedures include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open cases
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement and revision to endovascular procedures
• Schedule is 3 shifts per week, 11:00–23:30, on weekdays based on departmental need
• On-call coverage is required for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent, full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding
• At least 2 verifiable references from prior travel assignments confirming no training was required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures across the CVOR service line
• Candidates requiring extensive onboarding or with less than the minimum required experience will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
