American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) position in Indianapolis, IN, specializing in cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients with a minimum of 2 years of stepdown/progressive care experience.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to other stepdown/PCU units
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care RN experience
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• EKG testing is required as part of the candidate evaluation process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts, and if unsuccessful, may reapply in 30 days
• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay package
