American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Surgical/Transplant unit position requiring prior stepdown and Level 1 trauma experience, with transplant experience preferred.

Details

• Mixed stepdown and acute care surgical floor in a hospital setting
• Cares for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation
• Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery
• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred
• Night shift schedule, 3 days per week at 12 hours per day (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Acute care surgical floor experience required
• OR (operating room) candidates will not be considered
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to post-surgical and pre-transplant patients, including medication administration, IV management, physiological monitoring, and patient/family education
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before re-engagement after reaching that limit
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance
