American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Ortho night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and orthopedic nursing background.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
• Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend work required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Team nursing ratios (details discussed with manager during interview)
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• ADN or higher required
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront; RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be forwarded for approval and must be arranged directly with the manager or scheduler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Vaccination status must be provided for consideration
