American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC (Intermediate Care) position requiring at least 2 years of telemetry or step-down experience, working nights on a 3x12 schedule.

Details

• Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
• 12-bed unit providing post-surgical and intermediate-level cardiac and respiratory care
• Patient care includes cardiac drips (non-titratable), insulin and heparin drips, bedside procedures using Ketamine (burn care, chest tube, wound care), q2-hour pain dosing, and q2-hour respiratory interventions
• Frequent patient assessments and reassessments required
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12 hours)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience in MS/Telemetry, Telemetry, or PCU/DOU/IMC/Step-down required
• Neuro Step-down and Level I or II Trauma experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required, along with a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 months of assignment start
• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be outside the 75-mile radius
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holidays or blackout dates may be requested
