American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position requiring at least 3 years of experience and proficiency in complex cardiac and vascular care, including post-surgical and critical care management.

Details

• 30-bed cardiovascular stepdown unit in a hospital setting
• Cardiovascular and vascular patient population, including post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA cases
• Experience with NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GI bleed, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomy patients
• Proficiency with HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and cardiac pacers required
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Floating required between the critical care service line
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Cardiovascular and vascular stepdown experience required
• SS Card and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Responsibilities include managing complex cardiovascular and vascular patients in the stepdown setting, including POD#1 post-cardiac surgery patients
