American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position requiring at least 3 years of experience, including CV/vascular, CABG, and critical care stepdown skills.

Details

• Works in a 30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit
• Floats between the critical care service line as needed
• Patient population includes CV and vascular cases such as POD#1 CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, CEA, NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, and ACS
• Additional patient types include sepsis, GI bleed, post-DKA, respiratory failure, tracheostomy patients, and pacer management
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, and stable GTT management is expected in this unit
• Day shift: 07:45–19:15

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license valid in Texas, currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• CV and vascular nursing experience required
• Experience with HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and post-surgical cardiac patients required
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Provides stepdown-level care to cardiovascular and vascular post-operative patients, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and AAA repair
