American Traveler is hiring an LPN with long-term care experience for a 6-week evening shift assignment at a long-term care facility in New York.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting
• 8-hour evening shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday
• Schedule is 80 hours biweekly, which may alternate between four 8-hour shifts one week and five 8-hour shifts the next
• Minimum every other weekend availability required; schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• No call requirements and no self-scheduling; additional shift pick-up is permitted
• No block scheduling permitted for any reason

Requirements

• Current NY LPN license required; candidates with proof of pending NY license (with application date) will be considered — note that NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks
• Vermont license not required; candidates without VT licensure will be accepted
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
• Long-term care experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• 7-year background check (nationwide, county court searches, FACIS 3, and sex offender) required within 18 months of start date; FACIS 3 and VCIC required within 30 days of start
• Two professional references required — at least one from a nurse manager or supervisor within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in this area — all-season or snow tires recommended November through April

Additional Information

• LPN may be required to cover CNA duties as needed
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in your work history
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for each position
• Religious or medical exemption documentation must be included if applicable
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those 51–100 miles away qualify for the travel rate — distance is measured by straight line, not driving distance
• License required if applicable
