American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1-2 years of experience and an active Iowa or Compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry combination unit
• Primary patient population is adults
• Patient ratio is 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Charting is done in MediTech
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS is a plus but not required
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for travel rates and placement

Additional Information

• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) is required and must fully clear prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• All county and state background checks must fully clear prior to start
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) is required
• Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
• Titers must be from within the last 12 months
• COVID vaccination card required
• Monday or Tuesday start dates are available
