American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN/LVN for a Medical-Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring IV certification and a minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Medical-Surgical unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and RNs
• Day shift, 7:00–19:00, with schedule options of 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts per week
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN license required; must be in compliance with NLC compact licensure guidelines — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
• IV certification is a firm requirement
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• ADN required (BSN not required for this position)
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 3 major end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment period; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO cannot be added after an offer has been extended
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Vaccination status must be provided as part of the candidate profile
• Floating between like units and nearby campuses (within 20 miles) is possible but expected to be rare
