Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a 13-week outpatient coastal assignment in Oregon, providing home-based hospice care across the Lincoln County coastal region.

Details

• Outpatient hospice setting serving patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and adult foster homes
• Serves patients across the North Lincoln and Pacific Communities Hospital service areas along the Oregon coast
• Services include intermittent skilled nursing visits, pain and symptom management, medical social services, counseling, spiritual support, hospice aide coordination, and bereavement support
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with rotating weekends
• Personal vehicle required for travel between patient locations

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider level) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• BSN and/or prior home health, hospice, or case management experience preferred
• Broad-based nursing experience to support specialized hospice nursing skills preferred
• Valid driver's license and personal auto liability/property damage insurance required
• Vehicle must be maintained in good working order

• Provide comprehensive hospice care to patients in the home setting and residential care facilities throughout the coastal Oregon region
• Position is coast-based and involves working between two hospital service areas depending on patient needs, though the department's main office is located in Albany, OR
• 24-hour on-call nursing coverage is part of the hospice team's overall service model
