American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position specializing in stroke and medical patients, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical unit (6N Irving) in Syracuse, NY
• Patient population consists primarily of stroke and medical patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No blocked scheduling
• Charting via Epic EMR
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered NY RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Stroke care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration
• Resume with no gaps in work history required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

Additional Information

• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
