Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position in Syracuse, NY, requiring 3+ years of acute care experience and a valid NY RN license.

Details

• Position is located on a 140-bed Medical/Surgical Orthopedic unit (6 South)
• Unit serves as a fast-paced ortho unit with med/surg overflow
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• No blocked scheduling
• Nurse-to-patient ratio on nights is 1:5-6
• Charting is done via Epic
• Any color scrubs permitted

Requirements

• Active and clear NY RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care Med/Surg experience required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate rather than the travel rate
