American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric PACU RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 2 years of PACU experience, pediatric experience, and on-call availability.

Details

• Pediatric PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting within a children's hospital
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of the facility
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Degree accreditation verification required, or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address to be eligible
• Two professional references required: one within the past year and one additional reference
• Driver's license address must match the address on the Board of Nursing record

Additional Information

• Nurses begin orientation on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance, so candidates must be available and in the area on that day
• All RTO and schedule requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is extended
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Travelers are expected to integrate into the unit and function as core staff
• No block scheduling
