American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position on a 26-bed surgical unit, with a focus on neurosurgical and trauma patients on day shifts.

Details

• Work on a 26-bed Neuro/Ortho/Trauma surgical unit (R6) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes neurosurgical patients (spinal surgery, spine fractures, brain tumors), seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgery
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units required as needed, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active ME or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro and/or neurosurgery experience required
• BLS certification required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Neuro/neurosurgery experience is both required and preferred for this role
• Neuro experience is preferred; no other specific certifications required
• Any scrub color is acceptable; professional appearance must be maintained at all times
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should be aware this may affect eligibility
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and may have different eligibility for travel rates
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
