Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Oncology Pod Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, EPIC proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Oncology Pod Emergency Department setting within a large cancer hospital and research environment
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (7:00–19:30 days, 19:00–7:30 nights); shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period
• Floating is required for this position
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Telemetry monitoring is performed in this unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Oncology experience is preferred but not required
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at the facility's discretion for a 13-week contract
• No mandatory break between consecutive assignments at this health system (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
