Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior trauma center experience at a large facility.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract
• Telemetry unit in a short-term acute care hospital with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Average patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available
• Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if active prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
• Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities, including natural disaster response, as needed
