Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a minimum of one completed prior travel assignment.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Medical/Surgical unit with team nursing ratios
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• IV insertion skills required
• ADN or higher accepted for this position
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides medical/surgical nursing care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial application; RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be approved
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, availability to work 2 of the 3 holidays is required; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
