American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Surgical/Transplant Stepdown position requiring prior travel experience, Level 1 facility experience, and stepdown/PCU background.

Details

• Mixed stepdown and acute care surgical floor unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation
• Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery
• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• OR candidates will not be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Acute care surgical floor experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth (DOB) and full SSN required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Involves patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply, and prior travelers may only extend once (up to 26 total weeks)
