American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring at least 2 years of experience and endovascular/vascular service line skills, with call responsibilities and every-other-weekend availability.

• CVOR setting within a hospital environment
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include CABG, TAVR, MAZE, mitral valve replacement, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, TEVAR, AV fistula repair, and carotid angioplasty/stenting
• Endovascular and vascular service line experience required; experience with CSI and Penumbra preferred
• Epic (preferred) and Pyxis used on unit
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Overnight call required approximately 2x per week after shift; regular day call approximately 1x per month; approximately 2 weekend call shifts per month
• Floating to Main OR may occur in rare instances
• OR scrubs provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Endovascular and vascular service line experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
• Must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year to be eligible as a returning traveler

Additional Information

• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Spring Break (April 4–12) is an RTO blackout period
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Full compliance must be completed on time; non-compliance may result in a 2-week start date delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
