American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in Dallas, TX, requiring Epic proficiency and hands-on cardiac catheterization procedure experience.

• Work setting includes both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab environments
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• On-call is required for this position
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA preferred; ARC not accepted; military certs acceptable)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Required procedure experience: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterizations (adult), Left and Right Heart Catheterization, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, and PCI
• Preferred procedure experience: Rotablator Atherectomy, TAVR, Pulmonary Angiography, Pulmonary Embolization, Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, and Upper/Lower Extremity Angiography
• Required medication administration experience: Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV Vasopressors, Procedural Sedation, Reversal Agents, and Thrombolytics
• Required clinical skills: Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Procedural Sedation Monitoring, Sheath Removal/Monitoring, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose), ACT monitoring, End-Tidal CO2 Monitoring, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, Cardioversion, and Circulating Procedures
• State-issued photo ID required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates residing within 90 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 non-consecutive days; during the holiday season (November–January), only one holiday RTO request may be submitted
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing and will be documented in the Work Order Confirmation
• Orientation includes required compliance modules tracked in Healthstream; modules not completed prior to start will be finished during orientation and annually thereafter
• Scrubs or appropriate clinical attire consistent with facility dress code expected
