American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU Float RN for a 12-hour night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and flexibility to float to sister campuses.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to sister campuses
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 4:1 to 6:1 depending on patient mix
• EMR: Epic
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to nearby sister campuses (all within 15–20 minutes)
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Accredited nursing degree required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree accreditation
• ED experience is not required and candidates will not float to the ED
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address

Additional Information

• Candidates must be fully flexible with floating, including to sister campuses, and are expected to function as core staff
• Orientation begins on a Friday and includes remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID — candidates must be in the area on that Friday
• Galaxy Blue & White scrubs required
• All RTO and schedule requests must be submitted prior to offer — no requests will be approved after submission
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• Two professional references are required for consideration: one within the past year, one may be older
• Proof of nursing school accreditation (ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL DOH list) is required for consideration, unless the candidate has 5+ years of experience
• A recent Nursys verification is required for consideration
• Full demographic information including full DOB, SSN, and RN license number is required for consideration
