Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a rotating Psychiatric Unit position at an academic medical center in Boston, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Details

• 24-bed inpatient medical-psychiatric unit treating patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions
• Rotating shift schedule with a combination of days, evenings, and nights (approximately 50% of shifts will be evenings or nights)
• Charting is done in Epic

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Medical/medicine nursing experience preferred
• IV therapy skills preferred
• Phlebotomy skills preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Two professional references required

• Provides nursing care to patients with complex co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a reduced pay rate
• No validated parking is available at this Boston location — public transportation is encouraged; public parking lots are available nearby at the candidate's expense
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Any approved time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
