American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least one year of nursing experience, AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active OK or compact RN license.

• Position is based in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• 4x10-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of one year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions, prescribed treatments, and physician order changes
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend one time for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
