Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Center RN with a CA license, Chemo certification, and a minimum of 2 years of infusion experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center setting
• Oncology patient population including a wide range of cancer diagnoses such as breast, lung, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and more
• Procedures include administration of chemotherapy (IV push, continuous infusion, and bolus), blood and blood products, biotherapy, and active immunotherapy
• IV access skills required including port access and management, central line care, PICC line care, and starting and maintaining peripheral IVs
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 0700–1730
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• ONS/ONCC Chemo certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience required
• Infusion Center work setting experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• 7-year work history verification required; candidates must provide accurate work history and may be asked for documentation or contacts to assist with verification

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 50 miles are eligible to apply but at a local rate
• Previous employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Orientation includes non-billable e-learning modules averaging 1–5 hours, completed through an online platform
