Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU RN with arterial line experience and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

• Position is in a Cardiovascular ICU setting
• Care for critical patients including post-surgical cases with multiple lines, tubes, and drains
• Schedule involves 36 hours per week with day and night rotation only
• Expected to manage ventilated patients, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with the insertion and maintenance of lines, including PA lines, arterial lines, and ventriculostomies

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must have recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center within the past 2 years
• Arterial line experience required
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and vasoactive medications preferred
• Experience with ICP monitoring, ventricular drains, lumbar drains, and waveform interpretation is preferred
• No local candidates allowed; must live at least 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for monitoring and managing critical care patients with complex needs
• Expected to work collaboratively with the ICU team and assist with line management and critical procedures
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as part of the rotation
• Travelers must maintain active licensing throughout the duration of the assignment
