Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for night shifts requiring at least 2 years of CICU experience and valid IL RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 6-bed ICU unit within an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital
• Care for critically ill adult patients with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), including every other weekend
• Floating to Medical Cardiology or Med/Surg units may be required within scope
• Uses EPIC charting system
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience outside of orientation
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted
• No previous permanent employment at the facility within the past year

Additional Information

• Provide care for high-acuity patients with support from Tele-ICU intensivist consultants
• Must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously; may serve as relief charge nurse
• Up to 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, but not permitted during the first week of orientation
• Navy scrubs required
• No local candidates accepted
• Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled
