Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position with night shifts in a Level I trauma hospital, requiring CVICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
• Level I trauma environment with critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
• Night shift schedule, working 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Assignment length is 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active OK or multistate compact RN license in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma care setting
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills necessary
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric CVICU patients
• Duties include monitoring physiologic data, assisting physicians with procedures, and administering medications and infusions
• Engages with patient families regarding care plans and discharge processes
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff as needed
• Compliance with hospital's dress code and vaccination policies is required
