American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a variable shift position in Hawaii requiring HI RN license and on-call rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) with 6 suites and one dedicated C-section room
• Handles general, orthopedic, vascular, ophthalmic, urology, ENT, endoscopy, robotic, obstetrics, and gynecology procedures
• Operates with daily staffing of 4 to 6 rooms simultaneously in a busy, efficient environment
• Shifts are variable between 0645-2315, Monday through Friday, scheduled for 40 hours per week with possibility of reduction to 32 hours during holiday weeks
• On-call required 1-2 times a week and up to 2 weekends per month, with a mandatory 30-minute response time
• Use of Meditech EMR and PYXIS equipment

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years circulating experience in hospital OR setting
• Ability to scrub cases is preferred
• Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for call-back eligibility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating cases, assisting with room turnover and cleaning, transporting patients, and scheduling cases
• Orientation is provided on day shift for up to one week or as determined by the manager
• Scrubs are provided for all staff in the OR
• Travelers must complete Employee Health screening in Hawaii 48-72 hours before assignment start
• A minimum of 39 shifts must be completed during the contract if time off is approved
